Winter Warmer

Autumn Shades Giclee Fine Art Print
by Rikki O’Neill

Autumn Shades by rikki Oneill

This painting from Rikki O’Neill captures the colours of Autumn perfectly. As the days shorten and the nights close in it makes me want to make a humungus pot of soup and put a few extra coals on the fire !

Here’s the Recipe if you want to try what we affectionately call “Bay Attic Broth”.

You will need:

1 Onion finely chopped

4 x Carrots diced

1 x Turnip diced

1 x Leek finely chopped

Stalk of Celery diced

4 oz Dried Peas (soaked for a minimum of 4 – 5 hours)

4 oz Pearl Barley

4 pints of Stock (Lamb or Chicken)

Salt and Pepper

Perhaps this version is a bit lazy, basically we just throw everything in the pot and simmer gently until the peas become really squidgy and the barely soft then season to taste.

If you would like to see more of Rikki’s work or know of someone who would like one of Rikki’s Fine Art Prints as a gift or even some of Rikki’s art on a ceramic gift mug, greeting card or one of our Art calendars, you can find out more on our website.

  1. Hi There Bay Attic, I really like the paintings from Rikki, they are vibrant and cheerful, and full of lots of colour. Also had a look at his other work on your site. I think the ones called Two Cows and Tobermory Moon are great. Lots of nice stuff you have.
