The Bay Attic – February

This article originally started out entitled “fund-raising calendars” and then David and I thought, why not just post an article about whats been happening at the Attic over the past few weeks.

the-bay-attic-tag.jpgTo start with I would say not much has been happening but when you think about it, actually we have been very busy.

David has been re-designing the landing pages for the website and uploading new “improved” image files for all the artists work (he still has their newest pieces of art to add and also add work from artist Mairi Aitken.)

I have been designing new invitations for the graduation invite section of the site, (which should be uploaded to the web soon – we just need to find the Photoshop actions we had set up to make this one step process, a one step process !)

I have been looking for inspiration for more wedding stationery, engagement and retirement cards. Mind you the inspiration so far has taken me to some great wedding cake magazines and mother and baby magazines, as friends are having babies and getting married !

We have been discussing how to best re-organise and layout the calendar section of the website as well, as we think we have to make it more simplistic for ordering and viewing the various styles of calendar (any thoughts on this would be much appreciated.)

David and Doricmor have been working on a new range of Art/Photo Cards which will feature work from our artists and some of Richard Tugwells black and white photography and some fabulous aviation photography too !

In between all of this, David has decided to take on the cooking as we are now doing a much more healthy and local shopping experience. No more big freezer shops at your near-by supermarket, it’s local and fresh is best. It’s amazing the fantastic food we have had over the past few weeks. I have learned that David is a dab hand at cooking Salmon to perfection (something I have always avoided as I think, I cook fish till it becomes rubber !!!) Ironically the recipe for the Oriental Salmon was from the Tesco website, try it, it’s delicious !
